Heading into Post-Season Play
Squad Shooting for Region Repeat

     After battling to a 72-52 victory over Madison Central on Monday, Feb. 2nd, the Lady Rockets improved to an overall record of 19 wins and 4 losses on the season. 
    The Lady Rockets, who are ranked number one in at least one state-wide poll, have reeled off nine straight wins.
    With only a few games left to play in the regular season, the team is gearing up for a strong finish and a long run through the post-season. 
    The Lady Rockets have found help from several underclassmen and players providing a spark off the bench, while senior starters like Ashley Roberts and Mary Saylor have played extremely well down the stretch.  Sarah Hammond has been a force in the middle as well, providing rebounding, scoring, and shot blocking for the team. 
   Rockcastle will be looking to repeat as the Region 12 champion and hoping to find a way back to Diddle Arena and the state tournament this season.  But, with post-season play no team will have an easy time advancing and every game in the district and regional tournaments will be a battle.
    The Lady Rockets will close out the 08-09 regular season with a game at South Laurel on Feb. 20th.  Senior night at The Rock will come during the last home game on Feb. 9th as the Lady Rockets face off with McCreary Central.
